Joshua Arizmendi
(AR-iz-men-Dee)

Joshua graduated with a BA in Audio Arts & Acoustics from Columbia College Chicago, focusing on studio recording and sound for motion picture.  After graduation, he started doing more live stereo recordings of orchestras, choirs, and barbershop quartets hoping to achieve the most “realistic” recordings possible.

He has worked in Music, Post-Production, Sound Design, TV, Location Sound, Live Sound, and has started learning about video game audio and implementation. Joshua is currently freelancing at Chicago Recording Company, Soundmine Studios, Ridgeway Recording, College of Lake County, the Cro’s Nest, and doing Live Sound Reinforcement at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music.

During his career, Joshua has had the pleasure of working on sessions with: Josh Groban, Jennifer Hudson, Mike Jones, Lil Zay Osama, G Herbo, Mavis Staples, Xzibit, Sub Urban, Call of Duty MWIII with Brian Tee, Secrets of the Dead with Jay O. Sanders, McDonalds, Clone High with Ayo Edeberi, Big Mouth with John Mulaney, Firestone Tires with Trace Adkins, and Enjoy Illinois with Jane Lynch.

Joshua has won two Contemporary Acapella Recording Awards, and has been nominated five times. His most notable clients in the acapella world are The Newfangled Four, Secret Best Friends, The Sound of Illinois, The Penn Glee Club, and Hot Pursuit.

In his free time, Joshua enjoys playing video games, playing board games with his partner, teasing his step-cat, looking for owls, and watching any Chicago team attempt to play any major league sport.
